
Adding and Managing Clusters in GageMakkal
GageMakkal allows users to create and manage clusters to group multiple instruments/gauges together based on location, ownership, or availability. Clusters can be of three types
Always Available Cluster: Instruments group in this cluster are always available without any time restrictions.
Non-Recursive Cluster: Instruments group in this cluster have specific availability periods without repetition. Each period is defined separately.
Recursive Cluster: Instruments group in this cluster are available at recurring intervals. You define the start and end times, the recurring period, and the number of occurrences.
Steps to Add an Always Available Cluster
Open All Clusters Page: Navigate to the Cluster menu main menu to open All Clusters management page.
Create a New Cluster: Click the plus sign (+) in the top right corner to create a new cluster.
Enter Cluster Name: Provide a name for the cluster, such as "Production Line 3."
Set Availability: Toggle the option to Always Available
Save the Cluster: Click "Save" to save the new cluster.
Steps to Add a Non-Recursive Cluster
Open All Clusters Page: Navigate to the Cluster menu main menu to open All Clusters management page.
Create a New Cluster: Click the plus sign (+) in the top right corner to create a new cluster.
Enter Cluster Name: Provide a name for the cluster, such as "Maintenance Cluster"
Set Availability: Toggle the option to Defined Available and Uncheck the "Recursive" option if it's checked.
Define Availability Periods: Enter the start date, start time, end date, and end time for each availability period.
Click "Add More Availability" to add additional periods if needed.
Save the Cluster: Click "Save" to save the new cluster.
Steps to Add a Recursive Cluster
Open All Clusters Page: Navigate to the Cluster menu main menu to open All Clusters management page.
Create a New Cluster: Click the plus sign (+) in the top right corner to create a new cluster.
Enter Cluster Name: Provide a name for the cluster, such as "Maintenance Cluster"
Set Availability: Toggle the option to Defined Available and check the Recursive option.
Define Recurring Availability:
Start Date & Time: Enter the start date and start time for the first availability period.
End Date & Time: Enter the end date and end time for the first availability period.
Next Recurring Period
Days: Specify the recurring period (e.g., every 21 days).
Stops After: Specify the number of occurrences (e.g., 10 times).
Auto Generated Schedule Table : The system will auto-generate the availability schedule based on the recurring period and number of occurrences.
Save the Cluster: Click "Save" to save the new cluster.
By following these steps, you can efficiently add and manage clusters within GageMakkal, ensuring organized and controlled availability of your instruments.
